FastCat Chair

Welcome to the SCA 2025 National Specialty FastCAT! My name is Cheryl Snow, and I am honored to be your FastCAT chair. Sampson is my first samoyed and a great example of our beautiful working breed. Sampson quicky became a champion and then a grand champion, with every point being owner handled. When I am not herding cats at work (elementary physical education teacher), showing, or competing in

performance sports, I enjoy spending time with my three dogs or spending time with dog friends and family.

FastCAT is a sport that my boy truly loves so I have been actively involved in FastCAT as a handler, trial chair, and mentor for six years. Sampson has been at the very top of the fast cat rankings ever since he started the sport of fast cat. He is also currently the highest titled samoyed in FastCAT history with the title of FCAT14. FastCAT and other dog sports are probably the reason that I don’t have the extra time or money for other hobbies!

I invite you to join us us for two days of FastCAT in Wilmington to earn a beautiful placement rosette (male, bitch, veteran male, and veteran bitch placements), sparkling trophies, or professional photographs of your dog’s pure joy running down the track. Your dog will be in the safe, skillful hands of the best lure operator in the country. Samoyeds and any dogs living in the same family will be able to enter first, with Samoyeds receiving preferred running status. That means that you don’t have to worry about ring conflicts! Let us know and we will work around it! No experience is necessary. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns at smilingsammy18@gmail.com. I honestly can’t wait to meet you and your beautiful Samoyed(s) at fast cat in Wilmington!
