Each participant will receive a beautiful custom handcrafted rosette personalized with their dog's name, along with their printed biography and photo. An online catalog will be available for download here the day of the event.

You will be given your dog's rosette before you enter the ring, then it's time for your dog to shine! Your dog is welcome to show their stuff: Singing? Hopping around? Taking a bow? Doing a favorite trick or a nice jog around the ring. It's up to you and your dog. Just have fun! This is all about celebrating our Samoyeds and how much they add to our lives. 

The Rescue Parade has changed over the years from mostly sad stories to positive ones.  Many of these dogs are now dogs who have a wonderful past, but for many reasons are starting new lives in new homes. They come from many backgrounds. Maybe their owners died or went into care facilities, some dogs got lost and never made their way back home, there are many reasons a dog may find him/herself homeless. The one thing they all have in common is that they are living their best lives in new homes with loving owners, sometimes becoming competitors in performance and working events, others finding new lives as service or therapy dogs, all living as treasured family members. 

This is why we ask that their stories be uplifting and joyful, not sad. We don’t want spectators avoiding the Rescue Parade because “it’s always a weepfest”...We want to see that ringside three deep in people laughing, smiling, and clapping for these beloved and precious Sammies as they step out in the spotlight on their special day. Let’s celebrate our breed, and all Samoyeds on this and every other day! 
 
You will be contacted by email to provide a brief biography and favorite photo of your dog, in jpeg format please, for use in the program. Please note some photos may be cropped to showcase the dog only.  

Memorial or Rosette Only Entries: We welcome Memorial or Rosette only entries, where you will receive your dog's custom rosette and printed bio, as well as be included in the Memorial or Rosette only sections of the online catalog. Please plan for someone to pick up your rosettes at the parade or the following day.
